Journey virtually through the Memphis Zoo as we travel through time and discover how the world-famous Memphis Zoo has changed since it opened in 1906! We will visit some of the original buildings at the Zoo, as well as get a behind-the-scenes look at the first species that called Memphis Zoo home!

Join us as we trek to the great Northwest - right here at the Memphis Zoo! From polar bear plunges to sea lion dives, behind-the-scenes tours, and animal visitors, we will experience it all in this engaging, live-stream journey!

The Zambezi River is home to a diverse group of animals in Africa. In this live-stream program, we will visit the Memphis Zoo's Zambezi River Hippo Camp exhibit, peek behind-the-scenes with the one and only Zoo Dude, learn about the river system, and understand how animals (like hippos) can thrive in a river habitat!

The great apes of the world live in Asia and Africa, but luckily, we have a few species right here at the Memphis Zoo! We will venture virtually through the Primate Canyon exhibit and talk about these amazing animals and how we can do our part to help them in the wild!

Come join the Memphis Zoo for story time! Build empathy for all living things during our livestream program with an engaging, original tale about animal adaptations, with animal puppets, and a visit from a live animal from the story! This program is designed to engage early childhood learners and their caretakers.

(PreK-K)

Virtually travel the globe with the Memphis Zoo and meet three animals from three different habitats! In this livestream program, we will explore the adaptations these animals have for survival, the role they play in their ecosystems, and how we can help animals everywhere from the comfort of our own homes.

(Grades 1-2, 3-5)

Meet three Memphis Zoo animal ambassadors as we discover the long history of humans and animals: beginning with domestication, carrying through human expansion and exploration, and continuing today with the impacts of modern globalization. Gain an appreciation for our historical connection with nature and learn how to be a champion for animals today through this livestream program.

Ever wonder what it takes to be a Zookeeper? In this livestream program, you’ll meet a Memphis Zoo zookeeper (as well as a few animals!) to find out what exactly zookeepers do every day. We’ll also discuss the education and experience needed to become a keeper, and how you can start your career path today.
