The American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) is a membership association for animal care professionals to exchange information and network with one another.
AAZK is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of professional zookeepers and other interested people who want to do more for the conservation of animals. Memphis Zoo AAZK raises money to fund conservation and keeper education projects that we are passionate about. The following are just some of the organizations that Memphis AAZK has helped support over the years:
- Bowling for Rhinos
- Wolf River Conservancy
- Mid-South Raptor Rehab Center
- Center for Great Apes
- Bingo for Bonobos
- Elephants for Africa
- And Many More!
We also provide scholarships to keepers who wish to attend professional conferences.
