Memphis Zoo Temporarily Closed

Memphis Zoo will temporarily close to the public Thursday, March 19th.

The health and safety of our team members, guests, volunteers and animals is our top priority, and Memphis Zoo is committed to taking proactive steps to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

All public and educational events have been canceled. Any guests who had field trips or group visits planned will be able to reschedule or receive a refund.  While we are closed, our zookeepers and essential team members will continue to care for our animals.

Zoo fans will also be able to check on our animals and team members through our social media accounts.

The Zoo’s leadership team will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidance from state and local health officials as well as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to determine when the Zoo will reopen.
