MEMPHIS,
Tenn. – Memphis Zoo continues to rank among the top five zoos in the nation. In
a Reader’s Choice contest by USA Today’s 10Best Contest, the Memphis Zoo was
voted No. 4 in the list of the ten best zoos in the U.S.
Toledo
Zoo received the No. 1 ranking, and the Memphis Zoo is happy to congratulate
them on this recognition.

of Marketing and Communications. “We couldn’t be more excited about the award,
and the mission of zoos all over the U.S. will benefit from this recognition.

With the
award, the Memphis Zoo ranked higher than much larger zoos in larger
metropolitan areas such as San Diego Zoo, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Columbus
Zoo.
The site
conducts periodic Top 10 lists and received an unprecedented number of votes
during the 10Best Zoos contests. The site reported that the results far
exceeded any response they have seen during any previous contests.
