Memphis Zoo Offering Free Admission for First Responders During Month of August

Memphis, Tenn. -- Wednesday, August 31, Memphis Zoo announced that all first responders will recieve free general admission to the Memphis Zoo during the month of August, First Responders Appreciation Month at the Zoo. Memphis Zoo President and CEO Jim Dean was joined by Memphis Police Director Mike Rallings and Memphis Fire Director Gina Sweat at City Hall in Downtown Memphis to reveal the monthlong event.

From August 1 to August 31, all first responders including fire, police, ambulance staff, paramedics and 911 dispatchers get free admission to the Zoo with their badge. Additionally, up to 5 guests can join and receive 50% off the price of admission. This offer applies to any first responder, regarless of residency or employer.
