Memphis Zoo Education Team Announces Two Family Fun Events

Memphis Zoo Education Team is proud to announce the return of Twilight Tours and a brand-new event Zoo Stroll.

Twilight Tours kick off August 1st and allows families to romp and roar with our Dinosaurs. Meet these prehistoric creatures with the help of an experienced tour guide. The tour will include an after-hours look in dinosaur territory, a peek at what zoo animals are up to at night and a greeting from an ambassador animal. Twilight tours are for ages 5 and up. Our Education team is also excited to share a new program with you, Zoo Stroll.  Zoo Stoll is a fun and interactive program designed for a 1:1 ratio of 1 stroller + 1 caregiver. Each program takes place outdoors, rain or shine and includes a visit to a different area of the Zoo and a greeting from one of our animal ambassadors. “This is an intimate experience inside Memphis Zoo before the gates open to the public. Come with your friends or come to meet new people. It is a unique way to bring the community together while also providing a safe environment and social distancing,” said Education Specialist Bethany Overman.

Only 10 strollers will be allowed during each Zoo Stroll. Zoo Strolls hit the pavement starting August 3rd. The stroll is one hour long. Participants can expect to walk about 1 mile.
