Come grab a yummy popsicle at the MEMPOP stand located in front of the lion exhibit near the front of the zoo. Choose from dozens of fan-favorite flavors from fudge to raspberry lemonade. What’s your favorite flavor?
2. Get hands on at Stingray Cove
Stingray Cove is opened daily from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Watch the stingrays swim around their pool and dip your hands in the water to feel how unique they are!
3. Feed a giraffe
Venture into the African Veldt where you will find our herd of seven giraffes. You can get face-to-face and feed them daily at the Giraffe Feeding Deck!
4. Splash around with our Sea Lions at their daily shows
Grab a front-row seat at the amphitheater in Northwest Passage to watch our eight sea lions demonstrate the fun behaviors they have learned! We have three shows daily at 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm.
5. Indulge in scrumptious Ben and Jerrys ice cream
Who doesn’t love ice cream on a hot summer day? Grab a cone of one of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavors next time you’re walking around the zoo! Located between Northwest Passage and Teton Trek.
6. Kick back at Zoovie Night
Zoovie night is a new after-hours event this year! We will be showing the classic movie Kangaroo Jack and be offering exclusive entrance into the new Kangazoo exhibit! Zoovie Night will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021 starting at 7:00pm with the movie beginning at 8:00pm.
7. Exclusive Members Night
What better time to become a member at the zoo than in the summer! One of the many perks of being a Memphis Zoo member is getting to go to the exclusive member nights! These after-hour events host a variety of fun free activities for the family from face painting, hopping around Kangazoo, a live DJ to listen to, and lots of bubbles to play with!
8. Hop around with kangaroos
Kangazoo is our newest animal experience at the zoo. Hop around the exhibit and get up close and personal with our young Red Kangaroos. It’ll feel like you’re really in the Australian outback!
9. Catch some wind at the Flock Together bird show
Full flighted birds will soar right over your head! This interactive show allows guests to participate and connect with birds from all over the world right here in Memphis! There are two shows daily at 12:00pm and 3:00pm in the Flock Together Amphitheater behind the pelican pool.
10. Transport to the Arabian desert at our Camel Rides
Located beside the Safari Slices Restaurant in the African Veldt, Camel rides are offered daily by our two camels, Picasso and Cotton.
