Send your wild child to the wildest camp around: ZOO CAMP. Campers will explore the
fascinating world of animals while participating in fun games, crafts, tours,
keeper chats, live animal visits, and more. Parents must provide a non-refrigerated, non-microwavable lunch.

Photo Safari (6th-8th Grade) May 31 & July 5; Tuesday – Friday only
In Photo Safari, campers will learn to use digital cameras to learn the basics of nature photography and how to photograph for artistic vs. documentary purposes. From the photos, students will create a photo journal.
Theater in the Wild (1st – 5th Grade) May 31 & July 5; Tuesday – Friday only
Theater in the Wild is an exciting new camp where campers will present an entire animal themed musical—complete with costumes and sets—all in one week! This camp connects the stage to nature as campers discover more about the animals they will portray. Parents and zoo guests will be able to see the musical experience come to life at the end of the camp week.
Zoo Chefs: Around the World (JK – SK) May 31 & July 5; Tuesday – Friday only
Become a master zoo chef and cater to the wildest eaters around. Campers will enjoy learning about the different habitats animals live in and what foods they may find there.
(This camp is ONLY half day: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Aftercare will NOT be available for these campers. To attend, child must be 3 years old by May 1 and potty trained.)
Down on the Farm June 6 & July 11
It’s time to get down on the farm! Explore life on the farm feeding animals, making dairy products, and as our sheep say “having a bla-a-a-ast.”
Animal Rhymes June 20 & July 25
Eenie-meeny-miny-mo. Learn about the animals in each rhyme. With Zoo tours and crafts, we'll have a great time!

Learn all about animal opposites and discover how every animal—short or tall—has an important role in their ecosystem.

All animals have to grow up eventually, and they have lots to learn along the way.

Help take care of the Zoo’s animals and explore basic vet techniques from making healthy diets to performing health checks.

Everyone loves toys and treats, and wild animals are no exception! Learn how the Memphis Zoo enhances the lives of our animals by creating a more natural and stimulating.

At Zoo University campers experience the Zoo like never before. Participate in
all new behind-the- scenes tours, create animal enrichment, perform hands-on
experiments, meet live animal ambassadors, and see how animals inspire
scientists to new heights in technology and research.
Beforecare and Aftercare
Beforecare 7:45-9 a.m
If you need early drop-off for your camper(s), beforecare is available for all ages. Beforecare weekly cost: $25/members; $28/non-members. Beforecare daily cost: $6/members; $7/non-members
Aftercare 3-5 p.m.
If 3 p.m. is too early for your schedule, we offer aftercare. Aftercare consists of educational videos, exciting activities, and fun games for your child to unwind after a full day of camp. Aftercare weekly cost: $85/members; $99/nonmembers Aftercare daily cost: $20/members; $24/non-members
Please note: cancellations made prior to one (1) week before the first day of Camp will forfeit 50% of the program cost.
Cancellations made within one (1) week of the first day of Camp will not receive a refund.
No-shows will not receive a refund.
Rescheduling your Camp week more than once will incur a $20 rescheduling fee for each time Camp is rescheduled.
The Memphis Zoo reserves the right to cancel a camp class that does not reach minimum enrollment. Full refunds will be given to those who registered before cancellation.
The Memphis Zoo reserves the right to remove a child from camp if his/her behavior is disruptive or creates a safety hazard. There will be no refunds if a child is removed from camp.
