What to Know Before You Arrive

We hope you get the best out of your Dino experience at the Memphis Zoo. Please take our advice and follow these tips to plan your visit:

  • Dinosaurs at the Memphis Zoo will be open March 10 - July 8, 2012, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Daily
  • There is an extra fee for the Dinosaur exhibit.  Zoo Members pay $3; Nonmembers $4. Join today!
  • Your ticket purchase is valid for one entry to the exhibit per day.
  • The exhibit will include 15 dinosaurs and will be located in the old eagle aviary located behind the Elephant's Trunk Gift Shop.
  • If you visit us on a weekday during the months of March-May, plan to come Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We're expecting large school groups on Thursdays and Fridays. 
  • Purchase tickets upon your arrival to the Zoo's front gate or the Dinosaur exhibit entrance.
  • Pick up a treasure map on your way into the exhibit to navigate your way through the Dino terrain!
  • Take advantage of a Dino keeper chat in front of the exhibit entrance at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily.
  •  Visit the Dino Dig Shop and extend your time with the Dinosaurs with our educational Dino books and toys.
  • A picture is worth a thousand ROARS! Be sure to get your souvenir picture taken inside the exhibit.
  • Bring your smartphone! Each of our dino signs have QR codes to provide you with additional information about each dinosaur. Plus, when you download the Zoo's iphone app, you can use the Photo Booth feature to take fun photos in the exhibit!
