Seasonal Employment
The Memphis Zoo has seasonal job openings for part-time and full-time positions. Start dates range from April though June, with ending dates from August through September. It's best to apply in the early spring for seasonal positions. All seasonal jobs require weekend, evening and holiday availability and the ability to work outside in all types of weather.
We seek candidates who are outgoing, friendly and customer service-oriented with a professional, neat, clean personal appearance and who are able to perform a variety of manual duties such as heavy lifting, climbing, cleaning, extensive walking, prolonged standing, etc. Seasonal positions offer paid training. Starting pay ranges from $6.55 to $7.50 per hour based on experience. Our busiest time of the year is from late spring through late fall. This is the time when we have the most visitors, the most programs and the most activities.
