Homeschool Academy 2012
This week-long educational program will provide exciting and interactive ways for students to learn about science. Each class includes live animal visits, tours of exhibits, chats with keepers, special projects, and more!
Students bring a non-refrigerated, non-microwavable lunch.
Monday - Friday
10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
PreK – 8th grade: $110/members; $120/nonmembers
9th -12th grade: $125/members; $135/nonmembers
$20 off one week’s tuition for one child if parent assists. NOTE: Parent must assist the FULL week to get the discount and attend Memphis Zoo Volunteer Training prior to program date. You must bring proof of training on the first day of the program.

*LATE REGISTRATION FEE: Reservations made after 4:00 pm on the deadline
will incur a $20 late registration fee per child per program.

(must be 4 years old and potty-trained by 12/1/11)
Paws and Claws
Investigate how animals eat, move and look. This class uses arts and crafts, activities, books, live animals, and more to teach your child about the amazing animal life around us.
1st – 2nd Grade
ZSI: Investigating Mammals
Want to team up with the Zoo Science Investigative team and discover what makes mammals, mammals? Then join us as we explore the great diversity in this class of vertebrates and how they are designed for life in the wild!
3rd – 5th Grade
Splash-ology: The H20 You Don’t Know!
Dive into aquatic environments and learn about the water cycle, ocean conservation, and the wonderful animals that call the Big Blue home!
6th – 8th Grade
Engineered for Flight
Bird is the word for this in-depth investigation of these feathered creatures! Discover the variety of bird designs, the physics behind flying, and adaptations that help birds survive in some of the most extreme environments on our planet.
9th – 12th Grade
Animal-tonical Structures and Functions
Join us as we hypothesize, research, construct, dissect, and manipulate to solve the great biological puzzle of life.
