Coming Soon

Hippos will get a new home in this exhibit, which features animals found near Africa's Zambezi River. Zoo guests will enjoy seeing hippos both on land and below water, similar to the type of viewing used in the Northwest Passage exhibit. Other Hippo Camp residents include Nile Crocodiles, Okapi and Flamingos.

The exhibit is planned to be located adjacent to the Zoo's Primate Pavilion and south entrance to the African Veldt, which is currently the home of the World of Waterfowl and Meadow Amphitheater. You can see the location on the master plan.
