- Thursdays and Fridays are generally our busiest days for field trips. Avoid the crowds and book your trip on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. It will make a big difference!
- May is our busiest month for school groups.
- The Zoo opens at 9 a.m. If you plan to arrive prior to 9 a.m. or after 10:15 a.m. you might avoid congestion at the gate.
- All groups must have at least one chaperone for every 10 students. Groups will be asked to leave if this requirement is not met.
- If you've paid in advance, please have zoo stickers on children and chaperones (including teachers) prior to arrival.
- All Zoo classes are by reservation only. Space is limited, so make your reservations as early as possible.
- Have a structured activity that focuses on topics covered in your curriculum. Contact the Education Department for possible activities.
- Since there are no secure areas available for storage of lunches and coolers, we recommend that you leave these in your vehicles until needed.
- Please help us keep the Zoo beautiful by using designated walkways and placing trash in the appropriate containers.
- Zoo residents are on special diets designed to keep them healthy. Please instruct your students to refrain from feeding the animals.
