Summer Zoo Camp

June 4 – August 3, Monday – Friday
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Aftercare: 2 to 5:30 p.m.
Cost per week: $165/members; $195/nonmembers

Registration deadline: The Monday before Camp   *LATE REGISTRATION FEE: Reservations made after the deadline will incur a $20 late registration fee per child per program.  

Send your wild child to the wildest camp around: ZOO CAMP! Campers will explore the fascinating world of animals while participating in fun games, crafts, tours, keeper chats, live animal visits, and interactive experiments!   Cost includes: Camp t-shirt and one snack. Parents must provide a non-refrigerated, non-microwavable lunch.   (Note: Register based on the grade your child is entering in the 2012-2013 school year.)   PreK-K Child must be 4 years old and potty-trained to attend.

Animals come in all shapes and sizes, and while sometimes bigger is better, small can be extremely special, too. This camp will learn all about opposites and why so many animals are so very different.

In the wild, it’s often what you wear on the outside that counts. This camp will introduce different animal coverings through games, crafts, songs, live animal visits, and other fun activities.

All baby animals have to grow up eventually. They have lots to learn along the way.  Explore the world through the eyes of cubs, chicks, ponies and many more.

Have you ever wondered what a particular animal eats? In this fun-filled week, you can feed your curiosity as you learn what many animals eat, why they eat what they do, and how to prepare a meal some of our popular animals.

Join our expedition team as we trek to the Tetons, ascend to the top of Everest, and conquer Kilimanjaro. Discover the wintery adaptations of animals who survive at these lofty altitudes.

Can you run as fast as a cheetah or hold your breath like a whale?  Test your skills while learning about some truly amazing “gold medal winning” animals.

Prides, packs, parliaments, and parades all have a leader to follow.  Examine the complex social structures of these groups and learn what it takes to be the top banana in the animal world.

What do bats, owls, and opossums have in common? When we go to bed, they’re just waking up!  Join us this week to find out how they survive their nocturnal adventures as we explore the adaptations of animals of the night.
